The frequency of treatments depends on the individual, as everyone’s needs and responses can differ. For your first session, I suggest a full investigatory treatment. This helps me identify any imbalances or areas of concern that you may not have noticed. From there, I can create a customised treatment plan tailored to your needs for future sessions.
Some people experience immediate improvements, while others may take a bit longer to notice changes. Typically, the most noticeable benefits are seen after 3 to 6 weekly sessions, but we can discuss what approach would be most effective for you. After completing a course of treatments, many clients choose to continue with monthly or more frequent sessions for ongoing maintenance.
If you're just looking for a one-time treatment to relax and unwind, that's perfectly fine too. Ultimately, how often you come for treatments is entirely up to you and what feels best for your body. Whether it’s once a week, once a month, or even once a year, the choice is yours.
Reflexology is a relaxing and calming treatment, but sometimes some areas can feel a bit sensitive and tender. So, I can adjust the pressure to make you feel more comfortable and tailor it specifically to how you are responding to the treatment.
Many people experience a sense of increased energy, positivity and calmness. However, sometimes the body’s natural healing process may trigger temporary symptoms in the first 24 or 48 hours such as increased urination or bowel movements or feeling slightly fatigued. This shows that the body is starting to heal.
Following your session, I advise you to look after your body so you can fully experience the benefits of the reflexology or reiki treatment. It’s important to stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water helps to remove toxins and help the body with its own natural healing process. Reduce caffeine, alcohol and cigarette intake and eat light meals. You may feel sleepy or relaxed so just rest. The body’s natural healing processes may cause temporary symptoms to de-stress and rebalance. So, take care over the next 24-hours.
Reflexology is a safe non-invasive treatment suitable for all ages including for babies, the elderly and during pregnancy. Reflexology should never be used instead of seeking medical advice and is not a substitute for medical treatment. Please note if you have any health concerns or illnesses consult your doctor first. A reflexologist does not diagnose, cure or prescribe.
Reiki treatment is safe, involves no massage or manipulation, and can be administered either hands-on or hands-off. I can either place my hands on (or over) the client. The hand positions are then moved around the body to complete a full treatment. In this way, the Reiki energy will flow through my hands to the areas of imbalance. I may stop and focus on different areas where Reiki energy is needed, or on the area which has been affected by illness or trauma.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.
If you have any health concerns, please consult a medical professional.
